Some guy at work owns this perfect, pristinely preserved Volkswagon Bug. It's funny because it's a VW bug, a classic, reliable car, but all the same a Bug. I think maybe he works on it like one of those obsessive classic car fanatics. He parks it all the way at the end of the parking lot so no one is parked near it. The only other people who do that are the guys with the BMW Z3's. It has that perfect spit polished look of the obsessed-over cars. But, he drives it to work every day though so, it can't be that precious. You can find out more about VW Bugs and the people who love them Here.

Of course, I had a 1981 Honda Civic for a few years that I ended up loving. It finally died last year and it's been sitting in my dad's driveway ever since. The idea of selling it makes me sad and wistful. It's just a Honda Civic, nothing fancy. But, the guy at DEQ once said, "never get rid of this car." I really, really didn't want to buy a new one. I spent $2000 getting it repaired and repaired and repaired and finally I just couldn't bleed money anymore, not for that car or for any other. So I bought a new Honda Civic. It's great, but it's not the same as the '81. I miss the perfectly round headlights, the boxy shape, and the brown paint. At least my new car has cupholders.
