london_wall.jpg

This is painted on a wall near the Tate Modern. It's painted in an even regular pattern, but with drippy brushstrokes. I can't tell if it's graffiti or not. Around the corner another blue wall has no pattern painted on it at all.

I was walking towards the Tate today and smelled something disgusting then looked down to see an enormous dead gray rat laying on the pathway, one of those huge urban sewer dwelling rats. My first disturbing animal encounter in London. Mostly I've just seen small mice (alive) in the Underground. They're a sooty gray color that makes them look like they are white mice covered in subway grime.

Once a coyote jumped into a Light Rail train in Portland.

On the subway today I saw an older Indian woman reading a book called "overcoming impotence." It was odd that she made no effort to hide the title of the book. On the cover a restroom man figure and a restroom woman figure hold hands.
